Screven County, GA

Solid Waste Management

Purpose and Rationale

The Board of Commissioners of Screven County, Georgia (“BOC”) recognizes that providing adequate collection and disposal of solid waste is essential to serving the best interests of the county’s residents. This service covers both the unincorporated areas of Screven County and those cities or municipalities that elect to participate in the county’s solid waste management program.

All operations related to solid waste management are conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. In addition, it is the policy of the BOC that the costs associated with the solid waste management department should be borne by the residents who utilize these services.

The County does not provide “roll off” dumpster rental services.
